GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO VAL THORENS TRANSFER TIME
The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is about 3 hours 20 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and road conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know the traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is 187 km. The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Moutiers before climbing the D117 to Val Thorens. BUS STOP
Our service stops at the main bus station, the Val Thorens Gare Routiere. We also have a stop for those staying at the Val Thorens UCPA centre. There are also some details of the free in-resort shuttle bus service. When you arrive at Grenoble Airport, a Ben’s Bus rep will be there to help you. We also have reps in the resort to ensure you find our bus and we’ll try to call you if you are not there on time.

DATES
Our Transfers from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens operate on the following days:
SATURDAYS: Every Saturday from the 14th December 2024 – 5th April 2025.
We also operate to / from Moutiers, the town on the valley floor, on the following Sundays.
SUNDAYS: Every Sunday from the 22nd December 2024 – 23rd March 2025.
OTHER DAYS: There is a shuttle bus from Grenoble Airport to Grenoble city centre from where you can take onward transport to Val Thorens. Visit our Alternative Transport page for links and suggestions for public transport and private taxis.
We also run a more frequent service, on more dates, from Geneva Airport to Val Thorens.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 14th & 22nd December we only have services from Grenoble Airport.
– On the 5th April we run a limited service from Grenoble Airport.
– On Sunday the 23rd March we only have services to Grenoble Airport.
BUS TIMES
Our last bus on Saturday generally departs Grenoble Airport in the mid-late afternoon.
The only service we have on Sundays is in the morning and we only go as far as Moutiers, from where you would need to book onward transport to Val Thorens.
The easiest way to find the bus time that connects with your flight is to put your details into our booking form. Once you have selected your dates, the next page will show you a list of all flights and our ski transfer bus times.
If your flight does not appear in our list when you try to book, then we are sorry but we cannot help you. We would recommend taking a private transfer to Val Thorens.
JOURNEY TIME
The transfer time between Grenoble Airport and Val Thorens is usually between 3 hours 20 minutes & 4 hours. We allow extra time on certain dates & certain times of the day when we know the traffic may be bad.
Please note that very infrequently, we may ask you to change buses at Moutiers, the village at the bottom of the mountain. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this.
BUS STOP LOCATION
We have 2 stops in Val Thorens. The majority of our customers will wish to use our Gare Routiere stop. If you are staying at the UCPA, then scroll further down. The UCPA stop is generally only used by people staying at the UCPA centre. This is because this accommodation centre is quite isolated and there is not much else around.

We pick up and drop off at the main bus station, the ‘Gare Routiere’, in the centre of Val Thorens. You can see it on google maps here.

Val Thorens UCPA Bus Stop
Walk out of the main entrance of the UCPA and take the track to the left, leading up onto the main road. Our bus will stop in the lay-by directly opposite, on the side of the road heading down the mountain. You can see the stop on google maps here.

- We provide a link on your eticket to our telephone numbers in case you need to contact us on transfer day
- We always try to call our missing passengers to help them out.
- We have bilingual managers to greet you at the the Airport and reps in resort to help you with your transfer.
- We typically use larger vehicles which are more environmentally friendly and we now offset our carbon emissions.
- We use experienced drivers who know the mountainous terrain.
- We are a well established company who have been operating in the Alps for many years.
Please note that from time to time, our transfers from Grenoble Airport may require a stop at Moutiers, where you may need to change over to another feeder coach. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this and we will try and keep this inconvenience to a minimum.
