GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO SERRE CHEVALIER
Ben’s Bus operates shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier on Saturdays during the 2024 / 25 ski season. We’ve been running low cost airport transfers for 19 years. Our transfers are the cheapest on the market and our staff will ensure you have a smooth journey. We will usually transport you in large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint. There are usually 3 buses on Saturdays to all the Serre Chevalier resorts and an additional 3 – 4 buses to Bourg d’Oisans and the Lac du Chambon.
If you are travelling on a Sunday or weekday, we can take you from Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans. Expand the sections below for more details. Our last direct bus to Serre Chevalier on Saturday departs at about 16:30, but we have later services to Bourg and the Lac du Chambon. We do not service any flight departing Grenoble Airport before 10:30!
TRANSFER PRICES FROM GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO SERRE CHEVALIER

GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO SERRE CHEVALIER TRANSFER TIME
The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is usually just over 3 hours, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is 153 km. Our vehicles usually take the A48 motorway to Grenoble, then the N85 to Vizille, then the D1091 to Bourg d’Oisans, where we may ask you to change buses. From Bourg d’Oisans we continue along the beautiful D1901, over the high pass, the Col du Lauteret. Don’t fall asleep, the views are stunning!
BUS STOPS
Ben’s Bus reps will greet you at Grenoble Airport to give you all the information you may need and to help your journey to resort go as smoothly as possible. We have 4 bus stops in Serre Chevalier, at Briancon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monetiers Les Bains. If you are staying at the UCPA centre, the stop you need is Villeneuve. You can see a map showing these stops if you expand the section below “BUS STOPS“. A map and a description of the bus stops will be on the eTicket that we send you when you book with us.

DATES
Our buses run between Grenoble Airport and Serre Chevalier every Saturday from the 21st December 2024 – 12th April 2025.
If your flight arrives too late for our last service (usually around 16:30), you can take our bus to Bourg d’Oisans and make your own onward travel arrangements from there.
Our buses run between Grenoble Airport and Bourg d’Oisans connecting with every single scheduled flight, any day of the week, from the 3rd December 2024 – 19th April 2025.
Our buses run between Grenoble Airport and the Lac du Chambon connecting with every single scheduled flight, any day of the week, from the 14th December 2024 – 12th April 2025.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 21st December 2024 we only have a service to Serre Chevalier
– On the 12th April 2025 we only have a service from Serre Chevalier
ALL OTHER TIMES
We do have services from Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans connecting with every scheduled flight. Bourg d’Oisans is about half way to Serre Chevalier. From here you can take the public bus which runs past all the Serre Chevalier resorts – the LER 35 – but it is not that regular. At other times, you could consider a private taxi.
TIMETABLE
We do not service any flights arriving onto Grenoble Airport after 15:20 (12:15 on the 5th April). If you arrive on a flight after this time, you can take our service to Bourg d’Oisans and make your own onward travel arrangements from there.
We do not have any bus arriving at Grenoble Airport before 08:30. If you are on a flight departing before 10:30, we would suggest either taking a taxi to Bourg d’Oisans or the Lac du Chambon to take our service from there, or changing your flight.
Our bus timetable may not work well for your particular flight, as there may be a delay between your flight landing / departing and our bus leaving / arriving. We would advise you to put your dates into our Instant Quote form to see what time our buses leave. If the times don’t suit your flight, try searching again but to either Bourg d’Oisans or Lac du Chambon, as we have twice as many buses from these points. You can take a taxi or public bus to/from your resort to these points and you can find details about that on our Bourg d’Oisans page.
THE JOURNEY
The transfer time between Grenoble Airport & Serre Chevalier Monetiers Les Bains is usually about 3 hours. These times are approximations. We allow extra time on certain dates & certain times of the day when we know the traffic may be bad. With years of experience running shared ski transfers, we know how long to allow for the journey depending on the time and date of the transfer. Once you put your details into our online booking system, we will show you a list of the available bus times.
Serre Chevalier Villeneuve is 10 minutes further down the road, Serre Chevalier Chantemerle a further 5 minutes and then 10 minutes later our bus will arrive at Briancon.
During the School holidays in France and Europe, the traffic will be particularly bad. Please prepare for a longer than expected journey and bring something to entertain you during the journey. If you need a comfort break and there is no toilet on board, just ask the driver to pull over at the next safe place with facilities.
We may ask you to change buses at Bourg d’Oisans, which is about half way to Serre Chevailer. Our drivers and / or reps will help you with this.
BUS STOPS
Serre Chevalier is split into 4 main towns, each with their own name. Further down this section you will see exactly where our stops are in each resort. Below is a map of the whole Serre Chevalier valley showing each town.
We will pick you up and drop you off at the stops marked below. The Serre Chevalier Tourist Office map of the resort will help you find your accommodation so you can see how close our stop is to it. The free shuttle buses that circulate the resort all depart from – or very close to – the Ben’s Bus stops. The correct map below will be shown on your e-ticket along with the pick up time.
BRIANCON BUS STOP
At the bus stop “LE PROREL” opposite “le Casino de Briancon” pretty much in the centre of Briancon. You can see it on google maps here. Click this link to see the Tourist Office map of Briancon.
CHANTEMERLE BUS STOP
At the bus stop “ST CHAFFREY CHANTEMERLE” on side of the road heading to Grenoble. There is a wooden bus shelter there and you should see the “Grand Hotel” off to your left. View it in google maps here. Click this link to see the Tourist Office map of Chantemerle.
VILLENEUVE BUS STOP
Also known as “La Salle les Alpes”. If you are staying at the UCPA, this is the stop for you. We use the stop “LA SALLE FREJUS-PRELONG” on side of the road heading to Grenoble, opposite the Centre Commercial. See the stop in google maps here.
