Ben’s Bus operates shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier on Saturdays during the 2024 / 25 ski season. We’ve been running low cost airport transfers for 19 years. Our transfers are the cheapest on the market and our staff will ensure you have a smooth journey. We will usually transport you in large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint. There are usually 3 buses on Saturdays to all the Serre Chevalier resorts and an additional 3 – 4 buses to Bourg d’Oisans and the Lac du Chambon.
If you are travelling on a Sunday or weekday, we can take you from Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans. Expand the sections below for more details. Our last direct bus to Serre Chevalier on Saturday departs at about 16:30, but we have later services to Bourg and the Lac du Chambon. We do not service any flight departing Grenoble Airport before 10:30!

GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO SERRE CHEVALIER TRANSFER TIME
The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is usually just over 3 hours, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is 153 km. Our vehicles usually take the A48 motorway to Grenoble, then the N85 to Vizille, then the D1091 to Bourg d’Oisans, where we may ask you to change buses. From Bourg d’Oisans we continue along the beautiful D1901, over the high pass, the Col du Lauteret. Don’t fall asleep, the views are stunning!

Ben’s Bus operates shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Tignes on Saturdays and Sundays during the 2024 / 25 winter ski season. This is our 19th year running low cost airport transfers to the French Alps. Our network of routes includes airport shuttles from Lyon to Tignes and Geneva to Tignes. Our well-trained staff at the airport and in resort will ensure a reliable, quality and timely service.
All our airport shuttles can make stops at Tignes Val Claret, Tignes Le Lac, Tignes 1800 & Tignes Les Brevieres. When you travel with us, since we transport passengers in large coaches, your carbon footprint will already be as small as it can be. However, we now offset all our carbon emissions!

The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Tignes Le Lac is about 3 hours 50 minutes, depending the date, time of day, the weather and traffic conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know traffic may be bad. The distance to Tignes Val Claret, the furthest resort, is 209 km. The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville via Grenoble, then the N90 national road to Bourg St Maurice then the D902 to Tignes. Our buses will drop you off and pick you up at convenient, designated stops in Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes 1800, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret. Grenoble Airport to Vaujany transfers
GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO VAUJANY
Transfers from Grenoble Airport are only available to Rochetaillee, a small village at the bottom of the mountain. From here you can arrange your own transport (usually a taxi) to Vaujany. Our services leave Grenoble Airport a maximum of 2.5 hours after your flight arrives and we service every scheduled flight into and out of Grenoble Airport. We also have a stop at Bourg d’Oisans. We have the cheapest rates on the market whilst still offering a fantastic level of service. Our ski transfers buses are regular and timely and we have many English speaking staff to help your transfer go smoothly. OUR TRANSFERS ARE NOW CARBON NEUTRAL!
We’re delighted to announce that we will now offset all our vehicle carbon emissions. When you book a shared transfer, you’ll already be travelling in the most environmentally friendly way. We use large 50-seater coaches so your carbon footprint for that part of the journey is shared with all our other passengers. However, we’ve gone a step further and are now making all our buses carbon neutral by contributing to the installation of solar panels in African villages.

The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is about 3 hours 20 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and road conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know the traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Val Thorens is 187 km. The route our vehicles usually take is the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Moutiers before climbing the D117 to Val Thorens. BUS STOPS
The bus stops we use are in the centre of town and at the new the bus station in La Daille. La Daille is the purpose built part of Val d’Isere, about 5 minutes away from the main resort. Ask you accommodation providers if you are unsure which stop is best for you. Vaujany Airport Transfers
We don’t offer direct Vaujany airport transfers, but our service is the most economical way of doing the journey from Grenoble and Lyon Airports. Vaujany is part of the Alpe d’Huez ski area, but it is accessed by a separate road which comes up from Rochetaillee, a small hamlet on the valley floor, close to Bourg d’Oisans. Ben’s Bus transfers can take you to Rochetaillee (from Grenoble Airport) or Bourg d’Oisans (from Grenoble and Lyon Airports). From there you would need to make your own travel arrangements.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS TO VAUJANY
Our buses connect with all scheduled flights from Grenoble Airport throughout the 2024 / 25 winter ski season. Visit our Grenoble Airport to Vaujany page for details on dates, bus times and prices. VAUJANY SKI RESORT
Vaujany is a beautiful ski resort sitting at an altitude of 1250m. It is linked to Alpe d’Huez by ski lifts and forms part of the Grand Massif ski domain. The Telepherique Alpette will take you from Vaujany to an altitude of 2050m in about 7 min. From here you can access the whole ski area. Vaujany is very popular with families due to its tranquil environment and varied accommodation options. It retains the charm of a traditional French alpine resort, with most of the chalets built of wood and stone. It’s not exactly a party town, with very few bars, so it’s not an ideal place for young groups. It has great facilities for such a small resort, including an ice rink and a leisure centre with a swimming pool and Turkish bath.
Oz en Oisans Airport Transfers
Although we do not offer direct Oz en Oisans airport transfers, we can take you most of the way, from either Grenoble Airport or Lyon Airport. Oz en Oisans is connected by pistes to Alpe d’Huez but it is accessed by a completely separate road which comes up from Rochetaillee, a small hamlet close to Bourg d’Oisans. Ben’s Bus only offers an airport shuttle to Rochetaillee (from Grenoble Airport) or Bourg d’Oisans (from Grenoble and Lyon Airports). From there you will need to make your own transport arrangements for the short journey up to Oz.

OZ EN OISANS SKI RESORT
Oz en Oisans sits at an altitude of 1350m in the department of Isere in the Southern Alps. It is linked to Alpe d’Huez by ski lifts and forms part of the Grand Domaine ski area, offering 250km of varied piste. It is popular with families as it has 3 easy ski lifts and runs and has a village ski resort feel to it. Although built recently (1989) the construction was tastefully done and most of the chalets and apartment blocks are clad in wood and stone, creating an authentic mountain atmosphere amongst the many fir trees. There is a public swimming pool, an ice rink and floodlit night skiing and tobogganing. The resort is quite small which makes it a perfect family destination as everything is within easy walking distance of your accommodation.
Les Deux Alpes Airport Transfers
Transfers to Les Deux Alpes are available from Grenoble and Lyon Airport with Ben’s Bus. Read on for advice on Les Deux Alpes transfers from Geneva or Chambery Airport. Our shared Grenoble transfers operate from the 1st December 2024 until 12th April 2025. The average wait time at the airport is just 1 hour, often much less. A Saturday transfer from Grenoble Airport to Les 2 Alpes costs just £34pp Single or £59.50pp Return. With our group discounts, you could pay as little as £52pp Rtn. Grenoble Airport is the closest airport to Les Deux Alpes, followed by Chambery and Lyon Airports. The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Les Deux Alpes is usually about 2 hours, depending on the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we think the travelling conditions may be bad. If you’re flying into Chambery or Geneva, you could consider changing your flights to Grenoble or Lyon so you can take our service, as this will be the cheapest way of getting to Les 2 Alpes.
Grenoble Airport to Les Deux Alpes is 109 km. The transfer time is about 2 hours. A Return costs from £52pp.

Chambery Airport to Les Deux Alpes is 132 km and the transfer time is about 2 hours. A Private transfer costs about £320 for up to 4 people. Public Transport would be time consuming and complicated. Get directions from Chambery Airport to Les 2 Alpes.
Grenoble Bus Station to Les Deux Alpes is 67 km and the transfer time is about 1 hour 30 minutes. The local buses are operated by Transisere or look at our private taxis page to see who we recommend.
BUS STOPS

Free shuttle buses circulate the resort and could take you closer to where you are staying. You can either choose your stop when you make your booking or log into your account to select your stop. Unfortunately we are unable to offer advice on which stop is best for you.

Les 2 Alpes 1800 is a steep uphill walk from our stop and the shuttle bus does not operate 24hrs a day. Local taxi companies may not agree to doing such a short in-resort journey. You should consider this before booking with us.

Take the Free Shuttle Bus up to the “Zone du Soleil” for Le Flocon d’Or, Le Prince des Ecrins & Le Soleil. The Zone du Soleil is a steep uphill walk from our stop and the shuttle bus does not operate 24hrs a day. Local taxi companies may not agree to doing such a short in-resort journey. You should consider this before booking with us.
LES DEUX ALPES SKI RESORT
Les Deux Alpes is lively, bustling modern resort situated in the Southern French Alps. It is well known for its nightlife and has many bars, clubs and apres-ski venues. Although it is popular with young groups, it is a resort that caters for all types, with many different standards of accommodation and places to eat, including a Michelin starred restaurant. It has all the amenities you would expect from a large French ski resort. The glacier, which sits at 3600m, is the largest ski-able glacier in Europe and ensures a snow-sure holiday. It has 48 lifts covering 225km of marked ski runs, with 10 blacks, 18 reds, 42 blues and 19 greens.

Grenoble City Centre Shuttle Bus
This service is operated by our friends at Actibus. They sell tickets for this service online via the Actibus website. Although can also buy tickets once you arrive at the airport, we strongly recommend buying them in advance. On Saturdays, representatives from Actibus will be in the departures lounge selling tickets. On Sundays and weekdays, you can buy tickets from the driver. All the buses depart and arrive from outside the Departures lounge. Tickets on the day cost 15.50€ pp Single and 27€ Return. Children under 12 get a 10% discount.
The service will take you directly to the main bus and train station in Grenoble, the “Gare Routiere“. From here you can take onward transport to many towns, cities and ski resorts in France and Europe. The transfer time is about 45 minutes and the distance is 45 km. Whether you are travelling for a ski holiday, to visit friends, on business or just to visit Grenoble itself, this bus service will provide you with an efficient, timely, cost effective and environmentally-friendly way to get to the city centre in a safe and comfortable fashion.
The shuttle service operate every day that there is a scheduled flight into or out of Grenoble Airport, between the 3rd December 2022 and the 22nd April 2023. The bus timetable has been designed to minimise the time you spend at the airport. The maximum wait time is 1 hour 30 minutes, although depending on your flight arrival time, it is often much less.

Alpe d’Huez Airport Transfers
Transfers to Alpe d’Huez are available from Grenoble and Lyon Airports with Ben’s Bus. Read on for advice on Alpe d’Huez transfers from Geneva and Chambery Airports. We generally use large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint. A Saturday transfer from Grenoble Airport to Alpe d’Huez will cost £34pp Single, £59.50pp Return. TRANSFER TIMES TO ALPE D’HUEZ

Grenoble Airport is the closest airport to Alpe d’Huez, followed by Chambery and then Lyon. The transfer time depends on the traffic and weather but the journey usually takes about 2 hours from Grenoble Airport. We allow extra time when we know travelling conditions may be difficult, such as during school holidays. If you’re flying into Chambery or Geneva, you may wish to consider changing your flights to and from Grenoble or Lyon. It may actually be cheaper this way so that you can take our service.
Grenoble Airport to Alpe d’Huez is 105 km and the transfer time is about 2 hours. A Return costs from £52pp.

You can select your stop when you make your booking. If you have already booked, you can log into your account and select your stop. Please note that we are unable to offer any advice on which stop is best for you, as you will need to decide this yourself.
We may need to cancel the stops Place Jean Moulin and Gare Routiere when the weather is bad or when the roads are going to be very busy. This is to ensure we don’t get stuck in resort behind other vehicles. We will contact you the day before if we need to do this, asking you to get on our bus at Palais des Sports.

Gare Routiere: In the old part of town, just below the bakery and opposite the Bar Le QG. The road is very wide here with space for a bus to park up. See it in google maps.

Palais des Sports: At the bus stop outside the main Sports Hall. Three out of the four free resort shuttles pass by here. See it in google maps

Place Jean Moulin: At the bus stop on the roundabout in front of the Sphere Bar. Sometimes we may have to use the bus stop opposite the Residence “Cristal de l’Alpe”. View it in google maps

Bergers: Please wait directly outside the large Residence “Pierre & Vacances Les Bergers”. See it in google maps
For Accommodations: Pic Blanc, P&V Les Bergers, MMV Les Bergers, Maeva Les Melezes, Franceloc L’Ecrin d’Huez, Residence Christiana (not Hotel Christiana!), and use “Citron” free shuttle bus for the Altiport Chalets & Club Med. The road up to the Altiport is uphill and can be steep in places.
ALPE D’HUEZ SKI RESORT
Alpe d’Huez is a well rounded resort situated in the Southern French Alps area of Oisans, in the departement of Isere. It has a wide range of different levels of hotels and accommodations and has many bars, clubs and restaurants. It is therefore well suited to families, couples and young people alike. During the school holidays, it can get very busy, as with most ski resorts. It has all the amenities you would expect from a large French ski resort and it’s very popular with the British. The 48 ski lifts cover 250km of marked ski runs, with 16 blacks, 40 reds, 34 blues, 43 greens, and the longest black run in the world – the 16km Sarenne. The ski area is suitable for all types of skiers, from beginners to advanced to the off piste powder monkeys!
