Sainte Foy Airport Transfers

We no longer have a bus stop at Sainte Foy and so you cannot book our service to there from any Airport. However, all our services from Grenoble, Geneva and Lyon Airports, stop at Bourg St Maurice. From there it is a very short ride up to Sainte Foy.

BOURG ST MAURICE TO SAINTE FOY

Bourg St Maurice Coach Station, where our bus stop is, is 12 km from Sainte Foy and the journey takes about 20 mins. You could book a private taxi to take you directly to your accommodation. Alternatively, there are local public buses which run to Sainte Foy Tarentaise. The Tourist Office sometimes run free shuttle buses from here up to Sainte Foy Station. SAINTE FOY SKI RESORT

Sainte Foy-Tarentaise is an old Savoie-style village located on the road up to Val d’Isere and Tignes, about 12km from Bourg St Maurice. It remains relatively unspoilt and quiet but has enough restaurants and bars to keep you occupied, as well as a couple of spas. It is a mecca for off-pisters, but has little in the way of groomed slopes or lifts. However, the Espace Killy ski area is only a short drive away. You can therefore get taxis up to Val d’Isere or Tignes for day trips. There is also a free shuttle bus that takes you from Sainte Foy Station to the village of Sainte Foy.

The transfer time from Grenoble airport to Les Menuires is just over 3 hours. This obviously depends on the date, time of day, weather and traffic conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Les Menuires is 178 kms. Our vehicles usually take the A43 (E70) motorway to Albertville, then the N90 national road to Moutiers before climbing the D117 up to Les Menuires. We have up to 5 buses each Saturday. BUS STOP

Our buses drop off and pick up from the main bus station in Les Menuires, the Gare Routiere. Expand the section BUS STOP LOCATION below to see a map of our stop in resort. Les Menuires is a big resort so if you are catching an early morning bus with us, you should be aware that we can only pick up at our designated stop. Although we don’t generally have a rep at Les Menuires, our drivers are trained to call our reps in Val Thorens. They will then try to call you if you are not there on time.

Do i need to confirm my transfer?

No, you do not need to confirm your transfer with us so you do not need to contact us. We will assume you are travelling unless you tell us you wish to cancel.

We will email and / or send an SMS to the Lead Passenger should we need to change our bus times due to weather or traffic issues etc, so please ensure you check those. If you are unsure, you can download the latest version of your eticket.

We strongly recommended you have your eticket available to view on your phone / tablet. This is because they contain hyperlinks to important webpages, including to our page with our emergency phone numbers.

Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier transfers

GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO SERRE CHEVALIER

Ben’s Bus operates shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier on Saturdays during the 2024 / 25 ski season. We’ve been running low cost airport transfers for 19 years. Our transfers are the cheapest on the market and our staff will ensure you have a smooth journey. We will usually transport you in large coaches, which reduces your carbon footprint. There are usually 3 buses on Saturdays to all the Serre Chevalier resorts and an additional 3 – 4 buses to Bourg d’Oisans and the Lac du Chambon.

 If you are travelling on a Sunday or weekday, we can take you from Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans. Expand the sections below for more details. Our last direct bus to Serre Chevalier on Saturday departs at about 16:30, but we have later services to Bourg and the Lac du Chambon. We do not service any flight departing Grenoble Airport before 10:30!

The transfer time from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is usually just over 3 hours, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic conditions. We allow more time for the journey when we know traffic may be bad. The distance from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier is 153 km. Our vehicles usually take the A48 motorway to Grenoble, then the N85 to Vizille, then the D1091 to Bourg d’Oisans, where we may ask you to change buses. From Bourg d’Oisans we continue along the beautiful D1901, over the high pass, the Col du Lauteret. Don’t fall asleep, the views are stunning!

The distance from Grenoble Airport to Alpe d’Huez is 105 km. We have up to 8 buses a day so you’ll never have to wait long. Our vehicles usually take the A48 motorway to Grenoble, then the N85 to Vizille, then the D1091 to Bourg d’Oisans, before climbing the famous 21 hairpins of the D211F to Alpe d’Huez. Our local drivers may take alternative routes when the traffic is bad.

TRANSFERS TO LES ARCS

Booked a ski holiday to Les Arcs? Thinking of flying? Then you have a choice of 4 airports; Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon and Chambery. Picking the right one could save you time and money on your transfer to Les Arcs. We’ve listed the transfer times from each airport further down this page.

Once you’ve chosen your airport, you need to consider how to get to Les Arcs. Private taxis are convenient, but expensive. Car hire is an option, but remember to include the cost of tolls, parking and fuel. Our shared transfers are the cheapest and most environmentally friendly way of getting to Les Arcs.

LES ARCS AIRPORT TRANSFERS

We run Les Arcs airport transfers on Saturdays and Sundays during the 2024 / 2025 ski season. Depending on which airport you use, our shuttles operate from 14th December 2024 until the 12th April 2025. We operate many services each day and we usually transport passengers in large coaches. This means cheaper fares for you and it lowers your carbon footprint. We have some amazing discounts for groups and children. Prices start from just over £83pp Return.

TRANSFER TIMES TO LES ARCS

The closest airport to Les Arcs is Chambery and it has the shortest transfer time. However, there is a much greater choice of airlines and flights if you fly into Geneva Airport (GVA), Lyon Airport (LYS) or Grenoble Airport (GNB). The transfer time depends on the traffic and weather. We allow extra time for the journey when we think travelling conditions may be bad, such as during the French school holidays. The transfer times below are all for Arcs 2000, the furthest Les Arcs resort.

Geneva Airport to Les Arcs is 165 km. The transfer takes about 3 hours 15 minutes. A Return costs from £82.25pp.

LES ARCS SKI RESORT

Les Arcs is a set of purpose built resorts, spread over the villages Les Arcs 2000, 1950, 1800 and 1600. They are connected to the La Plagne resorts by the impressive Vanoise Express, a spectacular, modern and very fast cable car. The Paradiski area offers access to some great ski slopes, covering over 425km of marked runs, served by 141 lifts. This includes access to 2 glaciers, ensuring your ski holiday is snow-sure.

The Les Arcs ski area itself, with its 200km of pistes, does offer skiing for all tastes and abilities. There are 18 black runs, 33 reds, 56 blues and 1 greens. It is a popular resort with snowboarders.

Serre Chevalier Airport Transfers

Transfers to Serre Chevalier are available from Grenoble Airport with Ben’s Bus. We can also take most of the way there on our Saturday morning service from Lyon Airport. Our airport shuttle from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier operates on most Saturdays during the winter ski season. On all other days we can take you to Bourg d’Oisans. We offer the best value shared transfers on this route. Our reps will greet you at the Airport and our services stop at all the main resorts of Serre Chevalier.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS TO SERRE CHEVALIER

Our shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Serre Chevalier operate from 21st December 2024 – 12th April 2025. We usually have 3-4 shuttles every Saturday (and even more to the towns on the way). Our Sunday and weekdays buses can drop you at either Bourg d’Oisans or the Lac du Chambon. From here you can use taxis or public buses for the last leg of the journey. Grenoble Airport is one of the closest airport to Serre Chevalier so it has one of the shortest transfer times. Of course it depends on the traffic, the weather and which resort you are heading to, but the transfer usually takes about 3 – 4 hours. Ben’s Bus does not operate Serre Chevalier transfers from Turin Airport or Geneva Airport.

SERRE CHEVALIER SKI RESORT

Serre Chevalier is not just one resort but more a collection of towns spread along the valley floor. It is situated in the Southern French Alps, in the ‘departement’ of Hautes-Alpes. Each town is about 8km apart from each other, connected by a busy road that has free public buses running back and forth quite frequently. It’s is important to research each town before you book your holiday, as each as its own pros and cons. For instance, Monetiers les Bains has a quiet, authentic village feel to it whilst Villeneuve (literally translated to new town) has a more modern feel. The highest town in France, Briancon, is a decent size with a year round population and a stunning, UNESCO protected old fort.

The ski area is quite varied. With north facing slopes, a good snow record and the highest elevation at 2, 800m, it’s fairly snow-sure. The 61 ski lifts covers 410 hectares of marked ski runs. It has 13 blacks, 30 reds, 25 blues, 13 greens, set in beautiful wooded mountains.

RISE FESTIVAL AIRPORT TRANSFERS FROM £30pp

The Rise Festival is returning for 2024! The pre-Christmas party in the Alps runs from the 7th – 14th December. It promises to be one of the best ski parties of the season.

The Rise festival is located in Les Deux Alpes, in the southern French Alps. The resort offers fantastic skiing and even better apres-ski. The Main Stage and Indoor Arena will as always be playing host to some big names.

 If you’re planning your travels, you’re probably asking ‘How do I get to the Rise festival‘? The answer: with Ben’s Bus! All our Rise airport transfers are carbon neutral and make 3 stops in the resort so you won’t be far from your accommodation. One Way transfers cost from £34pp but if you’re travelling in a group, you’ll pay even less.

– Grenoble Airport is the closest airport to the RISE festival in Les Deux Alpes. It’s only 68 miles away and when the traffic is good. This means the journey takes a mere 1 hour 45 minutes!! View the route from Grenoble Airport to the Rise festival in googlemaps.

– Lyon Airport is the 2nd closest airport. It’s 97 miles away and a lot of the journey is on motorways. If there is no traffic, the journey takes just over 2 hours. View the route from Lyon Airport to the Rise festival in googlemaps.

– Geneva Airport is furthest airport at 134 miles away, but you need to cross an international road border. This can cause delays to the journey.

GRENOBLE AIRPORT BUS TRANSFERS TO THE RISE FESTIVAL

Ben’s Bus has laid on extra buses for the festival dates. This means you’ll spend less time in the airport and more time at the RISE festival. Our prices are an unbeatable £59.50pp Return, £34pp Single, but with our group discounts, you could pay just under £30pp Single.

We will have a bus to meet every single scheduled flight into and out of Grenoble Airport.

easyJet from London Luton, London Gatwick and Bristol on the 7th, and back again on the 14th (as well as to Edinburgh and Manchester).

Jet2 from Newcastle (and back to London Stansted, Birmingham and Manchester on the 14th December).

BA flies to and from London Heathrow and also back to London Gatwick on the 14th December.

Wizzair have flights available from London Luton. Skyscanner is a great website to compare prices and see which airports you can use.

Ryanair will have flights back to Manchester, Birmingham, London Stansted, London Luton, Bristol and Dublin on the 14th December.

LYON AIRPORT BUS TRANSFERS TO THE RISE FESTIVAL

Lyon Airport to Les Deux Alpes Transfers take a little longer than from Grenoble Airport, at just over 2 hours. All buses are direct to the RISE Festival. One of our 3 stops in resort is right outside the main meeting point for the festival. A Return costs £75pp and a Single costs £41.50, but with our group discounts, you could be paying just £36.

Our first bus on the 7th December will leave at 09:10 and our last bus at 21:30. For the return on the 14th December, our first bus will arrive at Lyon Airport at about 06:45 in time for any flight departing after 08:40

As always with Ben’s Bus, a rep will meet you at Lyon Airport and in resort to make sure you get on the bus.

GENEVA AIRPORT TO THE RISE FESTIVAL

We do not operate any transfers from Geneva Airport. Although it is well serviced by many flights, is the furthest airport from Les Deux Alpes and the least convenient. You would need to cross the international road border between Switzerland and France and the transfer takes quite a long time.

If you’ve found cheaper flights to Geneva, make you sure you factor in the cost of the transfers and add everything up to make a true comparison with flying into the much more convenient Lyon or Grenoble Airport. Geneva Airport should be avoided as there are so many flights coming into Lyon and Grenoble which are both much closer.
