Aime Airport Transfers

Transfers to Aime are available from 2 different airports during the 2024 / 25 ski season. Our network includes buses from Geneva Airport to Aime and Grenoble Airport to Aime. We also have a service between Lyon Airport and Moutiers. which is the next town along the valley floor and easily accessible by train, bus and taxi. AIRPORT TRANSFERS TO AIME

Aime is the transport hub for the nearby ski resorts. Local buses can take you up to La Plagne, but if you’re travelling onto Landry, Peisey-Nancroix, Plan Peisey or Les Coches, we’d advise booking a connecting taxi. See the section below about Onward Transport for advice and recommendations.

Between the hours of 7am – 2pm, the road between Aime and Moutiers can be heavily congested so you may wish to book our service and your connecting taxi to / from Moutiers instead. We generally transport passengers in large coaches. This means cheaper fares for you and because we offset our small carbon emissions, your journey will be carbon neutral. We have some great discounts for Children.

AIME BUS STATION

There is only one bus station in Aime, the “Aime Gare Routiere“, which is directly outside the train station in the centre of Aime. See it in googlemaps. It is quite a small station with only about 5 bays. This is the best place to either take an onward bus to your final destination, or arrange for a taxi to pick you up. When meeting our service, please keep an eye on all buses coming in and ask the drivers if they are Ben’s Bus for your airport, as our services may not be listed on the TV screens.

GENEVA AIRPORT TO AIME

Geneva Airport is 133km from Aime and the journey takes about 2 hours 20 minutes (depending on the road conditions). Our services from Geneva Airport run every Saturday and Sunday between the 7th December 2024 and the 19th April 2025. Prices cost £89 Return, £49 Single. However, with our discounts for groups you could pay just under £43 for a Single.

GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO AIME

Grenoble Airport is a further away (171km) but there is no international road border to cross, so it still takes about 2 hours 30 minutes in good conditions. These transfers are available on Saturdays and Sundays from the 14th December 2024 until the 5th April 2025. The price of a transfer from Grenoble Airport is £92.50pp Return, £51.50 Single.

LYON AIRPORT TO MOUTIERS

The furthest airport from Moutiers is Lyon. During school holidays the motorway to this airport can get extremely congested as it’s the main road to connect with the rest of France. These transfers run on Saturdays from the 14th Dec 2024 – 5th April 2025 and cost £90pp Return, £51pp Single.

Geneva to Aime transfers

GENEVA AIRPORT TO AIME

Aime is a village at the bottom of the mountain and the transport hub for all the ski resorts of La Plagne. It’s also an easy access point for Peisey and Montchavin. If you are flying into Geneva Airport and you are going to any of the La Plagne resorts, we probably have a bus that will take you all the way there, so there is no need to get off at Aime. We have more frequent services between Geneva Airport to Moutiers. Moutiers is a few miles down the road from Aime, so you may wish to consider looking at our bus times to / from Moutiers as well.

SHARED TRANSFERS TO AIME

Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans transfers

GRENOBLE AIRPORT TO BOURG D’OISANS

Bourg d’Oisans is a village on the valley floor and the transport hub for the surrounding area. From Bourg d’Oisans you can catch connecting taxis and local buses to many ski resorts. These include Villard Reculas, Auris en Oisans, La Grave and more. All Ben’s Bus services to Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes from Grenoble Airport and Lyon Airport can make stops at Bourg d’Oisans. We can also stop at Rochetaillee if you are heading to Vaujany or Oz en Oisans. Bourg is the last decent-sized town on the way to Serre Chevalier, before you hit the “Col du Lauteret”. If you are travelling from Grenoble Airport to Bourg d’Oisans, Ben’s Bus will have a bus service that will leave Grenoble Airport a maximum of 2.5 hours after your flight arrives almost every day of the 2024 / 25 ski season.

OUR TRANSFERS ARE NOW CARBON NEUTRAL!

We’re delighted to announce that we will now offset all our vehicle carbon emissions. When you book a shared transfer, you’ll already be travelling in the most environmentally friendly way. We use large 50-seater coaches so your carbon footprint for that part of the journey is shared with all our other passengers. However, we’ve gone a step further and are now making all our buses carbon neutral. We do this by contributing to the installation of solar panels in African villages.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Each person is allowed to bring 1 HOLD ITEM and 1 small piece of HAND LUGGAGE. This is included in your ticket price. If you wish to bring more than this, you will need to pay for the extra items.

HOLD ITEMS are defined as any item that WILL NOT FIT into the overhead rack of a bus (which are much smaller than on airplanes!). Hold items need to be paid for (if over your allowance mentioned above) and could include:

Suitcase, holdall, large ruck sack etc    |    Skis / Snowboard   |    Boot-bag   |    Pushchair   |    Small airline-style ‘Wheelie Bags’

HAND LUGGAGE is defined as anything that fits into the overhead rack of a bus (which are much smaller than on airplanes!) So small rucksacks, handbags etc. Small airline-style ‘Wheelie Bags’ WILL NOT FIT into these racks and so they count as hold items.

You can buy additional hold items when you book, or you can log in later and purchase them.

FEES FOR PURCHASING EXTRA BAGS

For all our services, our prices for purchasing extra hold items are £3.50 per item per journey, except if you are travelling from Grenoble Airport to Alpe d’Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Bourg d’Oisans or Rochetaillee, when they cost £2.50 per item per journey.

We need to charge for ski carriage because our buses have limited space. We monitor how many extra bags have been ordered by our customers and reduce the number of seats we sell on a bus accordingly. Obviously we therefore lose sales as we can’t sell as many seats, which is why we need to charge for the carriage of extra bags.

With prices starting at under £81pp Return, we are the cheapest travel option out of Geneva Airport. Ben’s Bus ran its first ski transfer in 2006 and now transports thousands of happy passengers. HOW TO FIND OUR REPS

The Ben’s Bus desk is in Terminal 1, opposite the UBS cash machines. As you come out of Arrivals in Terminal 1, look to your left. Our desk is just past the yellow TEKOE tea shop. If you arrive in Terminal 2, please exit the building, turn left and follow the signs on the pavement. It is a very short walk. Nearly all independent international flights arrive at Terminal 1 (the Main Terminal) on the Swiss side of Geneva Airport and all our vehicles drop off and pick up from the Swiss side of the airport. Geneva Airport has very good transport infrastructure links, including a major motorway which runs very close to the airports’ entrance.

BEN’S BUS TRANSFER SERVICE OUT OF GENEVA AIRPORT

Ben’s Bus offers regular and reliable shuttle buses from Geneva Airport to most of the major French ski resorts. When you arrive, a uniformed Ben’s Bus rep will greet you and answer any questions you may have. Then it’s a short walk to the bus before your journey up to your resort. Our drivers are local to the area and so they know the traffic hotspots. Most of the Tarentaise resorts are accessible in around 3 – 4 hours, depending on the traffic and weather conditions. We allow more time for the transfer when we know the conditions may be bad, such as during the school holidays or when the Geneva Motor Show is on. All vehicles used by Ben’s Bus are fully insured, registered and licensed to operate in France and Switzerland.

1. PACK LIGHT

– DON’T OVERPACK. Give more thought to what goes in your bags. Do you really need all those clothes? Potential Saving = 3kg

– LAPTOPS and chargers don’t make for a relaxing holiday. Maybe your phone can do everything? Potential Saving = 2.5kg

– LIGHTWEIGHT SKI GEAR. For instance, Merino wool thermals are very light and effective. Potential Saving = 1kg

– TOWELS & LINEN. Check if your accommodation could provide or rent towels and sheets. Potential Saving = 1kg

– TOILETRIES such as shower gel and shampoo could be bought in resort and shared. Potential Saving = 0.5kg

– CO-ORDINATE with your friends so you don’t bring 4 sets of hairdryers / speakers. Potential Saving = 0.5kg

– DUTY FREE. Check if your arrival airport offers a pick up service. Potential Saving = 1kg

For those who aren’t regular skiers, or just trying it for the first time, you could rent your ski clothes in resort. This would also save you a lot of money.

2. HIRE SKIS IN RESORT

Ski hire shops have come a long way in recent years. Prices are very reasonable and probably comparable with the extra cost of bringing your skis / board on a plane. That extra weight adds a lot of CO2 onto your carbon footprint.

Most shops have a large range of modern equipment and some even deliver to your accommodation. You don’t need to lug your gear to and from the airport and wait at the oversized luggage. Visit our discounted ski hire page to get a quote.

Grenoble Airport to Oz en Oisans transfers

If you are travelling from Grenoble Airport to Oz en Oisans, Ben’s Bus will have a bus service that will leave Grenoble Airport for Rochetaillee a maximum of 2.5 hours after any scheduled flight arrives. Rochetaillee is the village at the bottom of the mountain. From here you can catch connecting taxis and buses to Oz en Oisans. We also have a stop at Bourg d’Oisans, the town and transport hub about 10 minutes from Rochetaillee. TRANSFER TIMES TO BRIDES LES BAINS

Brides Les Bains is a short distance from Moutiers, the transport hub on the valley floor. The transfer time is therefore one of the shortest around. Chambery is the closest airport to Brides Les Bains. However, Geneva Airport (GVA), Lyon Airport (LYS) or Grenoble Airport (GNB) have a greater selection of airlines and flights. The transfer time depends on the traffic and weather. We allow extra time for the journey when we think conditions may be difficult, such as during the French school holidays.

Geneva Airport to Brides Les Bains is 125 km. The transfer takes about 2 hours 20 minutes and costs from £82.25pp.

Our transfer service from Geneva Airport uses the public bus stop in the centre of Brides Les Bains. It is on the bridge, opposite the fountain, very close to the Tourist Office. BRIDES LES BAINS SKI RESORT

Brides Les Bains is a small, quiet, family resort and spa town in the famous Meribel valley. Because it is so low in the valley, it does take some time to get up to the higher pistes each day. However, what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and it has lots of spas to relax in after a hard day’s ski.

Staying in Brides Les Bains is an affordable way of experiencing the enormous 3 Valleys ski area, which offers over 600km of marked runs, serviced by 200 ski lifts and gives you access to skiing in Val Thorens and Courchevel.
