The Geneva Airport to Val Thorens transfer time is about 3 hours 20 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we think travelling conditions may be bad. Our vehicles usually take the most direct route via the A41 motorway, the D1508 through Annecy, then the N90 national road before climbing the D117 mountain road to Val Thorens. The distance from Geneva to Val Thorens is 155km (96 miles).

SATURDAYS: Every Saturday between 30th Nov 2024 – 26th April 2025
SUNDAYS: Every Sunday between 15th Dec 2024 – 6th April 2025
WEEKDAYS: We don’t operate to Val Thorens on weekdays.

Useful Tips:
– You could book a Single with us and then another Single with another company or use public transport.
– Consider changing your flight so you can take our service.
– Consider staying in a hotel overnight at Geneva Airport.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 30th November & 15th December we only have buses from Geneva Airport
– On the 6th and 26th April we only have buses to Geneva Airport (although we still have service to Moutiers on Sunday the 6th April)

If your flight time is not listed, then we are sorry but we cannot help you. However, you could consider the following options:
– You could change your flight to one that suits our bus times
– If you are arriving on a Friday / Saturday evening, you could stay in a hotel at Geneva Airport and then take our morning bus the next day. Just select “Hotel” for your Airline and Airport and the first flight arrival time listed to see our morning bus times.
– Remember, you could book a Single with us and another Single with another company and / or use public transport.

THE JOURNEY
The Geneva Airport to Val Thorens transfer time is usually between 3 hours & 3 hours 30 minutes, covering a distance of 155km. These journey times are approximations. We have years of experience running this route and we allow extra time when we think the traffic conditions may be bad, such as during the school holidays or when the Geneva Motor Show is on. Once you put your details into our online booking system, we will show you a list of the available bus times.
BUS STOPS
We have 2 stops in Val Thorens. The majority of our customers will wish to use our Gare Routiere stop. The UCPA stop is generally only used by people staying at the UCPA centre.

Val Thorens UCPA Bus Stop
Walk out of the main entrance of the UCPA and take the track to the left, leading onto the main road. Our bus will stop in the lay-by directly opposite, on the side of the road heading down the mountain. You can see it in google maps here.

Please note that on some Sundays, our transfers may require a stop at Moutiers, where you may need to change over to another feeder coach. Our reps and / or drivers will help you with this and we will try and keep this inconvenience to a minimum.
