TRANSFER TIME FROM GENEVA AIRPORT TO LA PLAGNE
The time from Geneva Airport to Plagne 1800, the first La Plagne resort, is about 2 hours 50 minutes, depending on the date, time of day, the weather and traffic. We allow more time for the journey when we know travel conditions may be bad. The distance is 148km (92 miles). Our vehicles usually take the most direct route via the A41 motorway, then the N90 national road through Annecy, before climbing the D221 mountain road up to the resorts.

Our service stops at convenient places in Belle Plagne, Plagne Centre, Plagne Soleil & La Plagne 1800. You can select any of these resorts when you make a booking with us. DATES
Please read this entire section for full advice on your options. You can book a Geneva Airport to La Plagne shared transfer on:
SATURDAYS: From the 14th December 2024 until the 19th April 2025
SUNDAYS: We don’t run to La Plagne on Sundays. However, we have services to Aime, the town on the valley floor. Visit our Aime page and scroll to the bottom for advice on “ONWARD TRAVEL FROM AIME”
WEEKDAYS: We don’t operate any buses to any destinations from Geneva Airport on weekdays. Visit this page to view alternative transport options that we recommend.
Useful Tips:
– If you arrive on a Saturday and depart on a Sunday, you could book a single to La Plagne and then make another, separate Single booking from Aime (or vice versa).
– You could book a Single with us and then another Single with another company or use public transport.
– You could consider changing your flight so you can take our service.
– You could consider staying in a hotel overnight at Geneva Airport.
Please Note The Following Exceptions:
– On the 14th December 2024 we only have buses to La Plagne
– On the 19th April we only have buses from La Plagne (although we have services to and from Moutiers up to the 26th April)

If your flight time is not listed, then we are sorry but we cannot help you. However, you could consider the following options:
– Try booking to / from Aime or Moutiers which are towns on the valley floor. We may have a bus for you and you could then book a Single to / from your resort and then make another Single booking to / from Aime or Moutiers.
– You could change your flight to one that suits our bus times
– If you are arriving on a Friday / Saturday evening, you could stay in a hotel at Geneva Airport and then take our morning bus the next day. Just select “Hotel” for your Airline and Airport and the first flight arrival time listed to see our morning bus times.
– Remember, you could book a Single with us and another Single with another company and / or use public transport.
– See which companies we recommend for when you cannot travel with us.
THE JOURNEY
The journey between Geneva Airport and Plagne 1800 on our buses usually takes between 2 hours 45 minutes and 3 hours 15 mins. For Plagne Soleil the journey takes another 5 mins, for Plagne Centre another 10 minutes and for Belle Plagne another 25 minutes. These times are approximations and are dependent on the weather and traffic conditions.
The journey can be quite long, especially between 8am – 2pm and during school holidays, so bring something to read or watch or a game to play and something to keep the kids entertained. We may ask you to change buses during the journey, usually at a place where you can use the toilet facilities. Once you put your details into our online booking system, we will show you a list of the available bus times.
BUS STOPS
We can only pick up & drop off at the points marked on the maps below. These maps will be shown on your eticket along with the pick up time. Visit the Tourist Office website to download a map of the La Plagne villages.
We are sorry but we cannot offer any advice as to which stop is best for you. You could contact your accommodation provider if you are unsure, or compare our links to googlemaps to the location of your accommodation. The free in-resort shuttle buses dart around the resorts fairly regularly but may not operate 24 hours a day!

Belle Plagne

Plagne Centre

Plagne Soleil
At the bus stop on the main road at the start of Plagne Soleil. If you stand on the road facing the Odalys Le Cervin residence and look to the left you will see a flight of stairs. The stop is located at the bottom of these stairs. View our Plagne Soleil Bus Stop in googlemaps
Plagne 1800

Plagne 2000 (Aime La Plagne) or Plagne Villages
Although we do not have a stop in these resorts, you could book a ticket to Plagne Centre and then use the free shuttle buses or a private taxi to climb up to your resort. Compare your accommodation location to our Plagne Centre stop in googlemaps.
If you do this, we strongly recommend NOT arriving into the resort too late (so book a morning flight into Geneva) and NOT departing the resort too early (so book a late afternoon flight from Geneva) as getting between resorts either late in the day or early in the morning could be difficult. The free shuttle buses do not run 24hrs / day! You could also consider booking our bus to Aime, the town on the valley floor, and getting a taxi up the mountain.
Plagne Bellecote
You could book a ticket to Plagne 1800 and then use the free shuttle buses or a private taxi to climb up to your resort. Compare your accommodation location and our Plagne 1800 stop in googlemaps.
If you do this, we strongly recommend NOT arriving into the resort too late (so book a morning flight into Geneva) and NOT departing the resort too early (so book a late afternoon flight from Geneva) as getting between resorts either late in the day or early in the morning could be difficult.
